ACTS:
Witness the enchanting grace and strength of a pole dance act that defies gravity and pushes the boundaries of performance art. An exploration of movement and expression pulling you into the present moment.
NORBERTINE writes industrial art rock ballads with a DIY attitude. Futurism merged with classical piano, noise with emotional lyrics, metal percussion with distorted guitars and pole dance. Nihilistic end-of-the-world songs accompanied by intimate love ballads. Chaos, calm, deceit, truth. Contrast. A last attempt to understand the love and the world.
Keely Westwood is a versatile multi media artist and artistic director known for her unique, existential, powerful and experimental work.
She started out as a contemporary and modern dancer, but an injury forced her to explore other forms of artistic expression, leading her to study at the Conservatorium later on in life. Her composition style is eclectic, combining electronic and orchestral music with haunting vocals, creating a cinematic, melancholic feel.
Alongside her music studies, Keely became infatuated with creating her own films, visualisers and art as well as writing literature and poetry. She started collaborating with other artists to create multi-media works that went beyond traditional boundaries.
Today, Keely directs theatre pieces and other multi-media art and exhibition projects that aim to capture, exaggerate, and warp the essence of the way we do and feel things, while also creating a feeling of a strange sense of home.
Flemish artist xCelia creates electropop with an edge. Silky vocals paired with
energetic, electronic beats. Booming bass synths with sincere lyrics. xCelia is in
alignment with her inner Britney-chakra, showing her most daring and adventurous
side in her music. She stands for female empowerment and boundless
self-expression, which she also encourages in her listeners. Her world is full of
energy, femininity, and passion. Through dance, fashion, and music, xCelia embodies
Pop with a capital ‘P’. Big inspirations are artists like Halsey, Grimes, and Ellie
Goulding.
With Live visuals of Green Lava (https://xinyuanma164.wixsite.com/website)
Green Lava blends spiritual freedom and rebellion in their work, using plant and magma symbolism to express the complexities of urban life. The art explores individual roots and the quest for natural joy amidst the fast-paced city existence. Through elements like plants and masks, Green Lava metaphorically captures contemporary human emotions and the universal desire for life and freedom. The artist sees enduring pursuits of freedom and love within the intricacies of modern society.
Yo, welcome to “1-800 Juicy Royale” – where DJ Princess Trashfire and Juicy Jippa bring the heat with mad beats. This B2B duo’s chemistry is undeniable, even if their relationship status is on and off divorced - and to add a twist, they also happen to be second cousins. No vibe for genres, just epic vibes, slinging a range of ghetto tech, breakbeat, jersey club, kawaii bounce and more.
They also happen to be a hotline service. Need advice? Got questions? Hit up their hotline. These two may not have degrees, but they’ve got life experience. Trust the hotline bling of DJ Princess Trashfire and Juicy Jippa.

Astrit Ismaili, The First Flower
Release Party with Katu, Galouchë, Europa & Young Woman
Theme: Botanical Garden
A performance artist working predominantly with experimental pop music to explore the transformational potential of bodies and spaces. Their work proposes bodies that consist of both imaginary and material realities, using alter egos, body extensions, and wearable musical instruments to embody different possibilities for becoming. Through these elements, they think of, about, and through the body: as it transforms and is transformed, as it moves, makes sound, and makes contact, as it extends and exceeds itself, reaching out to and touching the other. Within their practice, the act of singing is used to explore the role of voice in pop culture and identity politics. To Astrit, music composition and singing come quite naturally since they have been engaging with it from a young age. Together with their sister Blerta Ismaili, they have been very active in the Kosovo children’s music scene following the war in the early 2000s, recording an album composed by their mother Selvete Kransniqi Ismaili. Through music composition, singing, and physical transformation, Astrit Ismaili tackles fictional, historical, and personal references that are used as material to build worlds and embody new icons. They function as alter egos, who, subjected to limitation, use their creativity to reinvent themselves and their environment. In the artist’s practice, femininity is seen through a queer lens as a transformational force that resists and opposes different systems of oppression.
A cross-media project by Astrit Ismaili produced by The Performance Agency. At its heart is the release of an experimental pop music album, which is derived from the artist’s previous performance work titled ‘MISS’ (2019). The project is written from the perspective of the world’s First Flower—a green plant going through a physical and spiritual transition to enhance its chances of success while pioneering in extremely fluid sexual interactions.
Along their poetic journey, The First Flower is confronted with concerns such as beauty standards, gender dysphoria, the commodification of nature, and queer realities within the living. The album testifies to strong stylistic hybridity: performance art pop meets hyper, gabber, and glam, along with contemporary sound design. Drawing a parallel between the history of flowers and pop culture, the project requalifies contemporary pop aesthetics and demonstrates how creativity can be a strategy to overcome existential limitations; reflecting the artist’s path.
Darling this started
Hundred million years ago
I know you weren’t here but
There was something wrong with me
Rooted fully into the ground
I could never travel far
Sunwatersoil was not enough
To make me bright to make me
Loved, Love, Loved, Love, Loved, Love, I wanna give you love, We want to be loved.
Excerpt of The First Flower, Astrit Ismaili
Is dedicated to the curation and production of performance formats across genres. Since its initiation in 2017 in Berlin, it has been informed by the artistic esprit of the avant-gardes at the origins of performance art. The Performance Agency lives in a continuation of its transformative energies—uniting artists from all fields to create collective spaces of experience that draw attention to interstices, the inexplicable, and the fleeting of the everyday.
In the first two years, The Performance Agency curated the public program of the Archivio Conz a collection of more than 3000 works by late 20th-century avant-garde artists collected and produced by Italian publisher and collector Francesco Conz, and developed its signature format: carefully staged performances that allow audiences to traverse a world of imagination. The combination of historical references and an attentive orientation toward the future continues to guide the work.
With its main studio in Paris, the organization has since become a vital organism conducting a wide array of projects in collaboration with international institutions, artists, and further creative fields from public programs to performative dinners, music albums, and art videos.

Open je geest voor experimenteel hemels geluid. Divine performance by P!NKROSE & Wiebe Brinkman

We are ‘friend to a friend’, a small platform/publication interested in bringing people together from printed matter to parties, exhibitions and beyond. on the 8th of march we are excited to invite our friends and friends of friends for a market and club night!
The main idea of our platform is to facilitate open meetings where people exchange ideas and interests. the name ‘friend to a friend’ comes from an ever-expanding circle of people, whereby inviting friends who bring friends that bring friends leads to unexpected gatherings. we believe that these gatherings can happen best in smaller, intimate settings with a simple starting point so there is room for experimentation and improvisation.
In SEXYLAND, we want to highlight the talent of the people around us. we will bring our friends from the large glass department at the gerrit rietveld academie to sell their crafts on the market and let our musical friends shine at night with their performances and eclectic mixes for a good dance!
after the event we hope to have made new friends and that our circle will have expanded!

Join us for an evening of intimate photography, somatic performance and immersive music centring our connection with the beautiful vessels that carry us through life day by day.
Enjoy the talented Carla Chichi’s photographic collections which aim to encourage the viewer to embrace their own curiosity and vulnerability, holding space for their continuous journey of self-discovery.
To bring the themes of her photography to life Ethan Lx has prepared ’70%’ a performance centring our body’s connection with water. How, considering that we consist to 70% of water, we might be able to learn from the hydrologic cycle, also allowing ourselves to transform with the seasons, responding to our bodies needs and adapting to new environments.
Finally, as embodiment is best practiced instead of perceived we invite you to join us on the dance floor as DJ’s Deniz, Aki and La Vilaine provide a variety of sounds from experimental and hypnotic techno all the way to UK Garage.

“Intro” - a debut event by a multi-genre electronic music collective.
Our intrinsic goal of booking “small,” meaning djs you most likely haven’t heard of but really should. We have 6 djs booked, all hailing from the Utrecht underground scene, beginning with Obseic (@obseic) a French house and funk dj and producer based in Utrecht, who has been steadily releasing his own music over the last year, and who will provide the start of the night with the appropriate level of fun and funk. Next up we have L/MA0RI (@taurusznis) a Luxembourg based dj who’s afro-maghrebi melodies are wonderfully evident in her selections, melding jungle, dub, and breakcore into heavy UK bass sounds. Following on from her will be a b2b by Amsterdm based dj and producer Cozen (@ross_hudson_), and Utrecht based dj lukear (@l_riddell) who’s quintessentially UK sound, melding UKG, Jungle, breakbeats, and UK hardcore will be something not to miss. Taking over from them would be Joshka, Utrecht based dj who’s dynamic electro and lighthearted techno with the occasional gabber and trance break will surely get people on their feet. To close our night off will be our fellow collective member and Utrecht based producer and dj Lovic (@lovic.music) who’s breakbeat influenced techno will drive people comfortably to a climactic end.

We plan an evening full of dancing people in ecstasy and a shared love for music! The four bands that will perform are arranged in such a way that the energy builds throughout the evening. Since dancing people need breaks and want to have visual stimulation next to the colorful light arrangement and moving psychedelic patterns that are planned, we will host an art exhibition. Depictions of dark, experimental, and psychedelic motives will inspire self-reflection and awestruck with the use of diverse techniques as curated on the exhibition walls.
The vibe: a lovely, quirky fusion of blues, funk, soul, and psychedelic rock elements will steer the evening, to wind up sweat production as natural glitter glue. We want to share our music in a celebration of each instrument. In the spotlight of this exciting venture stands love for music and people, and the wish to canalize this energy into one glorious evening we can all spend together.
Line-Up: HUSS, Kaseto, Solar Instinct, Magustry
Indie rock quartet KASETO believes that you should not take life too seriously. With 90’s rock as their main inspiration, their goal is for you to dance. Their sound? Captivating rock, combined with an own touch of energetic funk - with Vincent on drums, Stan on lead guitar, Dante on bass and Thijs on rhythm guitar & vocals. Ready? OK, let’s dance!
Huss consists of four psychologists from the Netherlands, the US, and Bulgaria, on a mission to ease your worries through music. Their diverse repertoire ranges from earworm pop-rock to bossanova and singer-songwriter, with striking lyrics in Dutch and English. Following their live debut in April 2023 they performed at Toekomstmuziek, Q-Factory (GRAP Popprijs), and De Nieuwe Anita among others. Songs and socials: linktr.ee/husstheband
Solar Instinct is a young psychedelic jam rock band from Amsterdam! Inspired by music legends like Pink Floyd and King Gizzard they can’t wait to share their interdimensional, dreamy, and rocky tunes with the crowds. Their unusual and very danceable music, infused with bizarre lyrics about space, Greek mythology, and abstract rants about society, will keep your leg muscles busy! After packed shows at Volta, and Vondelbunker they will now gloriously align their outfits for the first time to make SEXYLAND World their stage! Find them on Instagram: @solar_instinct
MAGUSTRY is a rock band that creates eclectic rock with inspiration coming from the 60’s and 70’ s. Live, they swoop in with soft psychedelic sounds and pull you right back in with some distorted rockgrooves! Inspired by bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, they mix the sounds of synths, organ and warped guitar sounds to take you with them on a musical journey. The singer leaves behind a very strong impression with her powerful voice. So come and join us in the fun and let yourselves be taken away by the sweeping rock music from MAGUSTRY

Uniting in Solidarity
United against racism!

SEXILAND, on the 27th of March, comes in aid of art.
Its walls will be decorated with an exhibition of survival sketches, illustrations, diary pages and artworks rescued after the burn-down of GIACOARDO art-studio in Distelweg 83.
This day is been brought forward by the goodwill of the alternative communities of Amsterdam gathering around the artist after the accident, as a reminder of brotherhood to us all, but also to point out the challenges of temporality and the intrinsic beauty of change.
A meaningful gesture to set up a good omen for - restart!
This benefit event will be a ritual, a gathering of creatives and free-headed alternatives, coming to one place to open their hearts in a good-vibe-reset of energy.
…It will tell you a bit more of what is brewing daily behind the curtains of mainstream society, where the ‘contemporary pirates’ gather together and spread magic from within.
It will be a non-common event, because we gather to stay together and celebrate what is there. Lightening up the nevertheless struggles.
The artist is been encouraged to set up un uncommon exhibition with his ex-studio material. It will be a last moment of good-bye, where you can bring home a piece of it:
this pages full of drawings and the few sculptures modified by the flames, the smoke and firefighter’s water can be yours, through a symbolic donation on location.
This benefit will help the artist to restart with his hope after the loss.
in short: He moved his practises to Amsterdam in 2013, to open and curate an alternative gallery in OT301: 4bid gallery. The successful project kept the international artist moving his Homebase to Amsterdam, where he kept working with Art and education.
In 2021, after years of research and dedication, he managed to finalise and officially open to the public a tiny Musuem dedicated to the evolution of the concept of Piracy - PiMu
www.piraatmuseum.net
The artist, in this last 10 years, fascinated by the vivid underground culture still alive in the societal fabric of Amsterdam, have developed his art practices and research over the ‘free harbours’ of communities. lived with them, worked with them, build his art studio and represented them with his numerous exhibitions and art project in town… and abroad.
His studio became a central point for proactive counterculture and in this last years many have visited the place to experience the beauty of creativity and be fascinated by his powerful message.
If you want to know more about #GIACOARDO this is his link: www.giacomocardoni.com
The Bands and the DJs are also independent people roaming in the free harbour of Amsterdam, keeping alive a sense of resilience, being the soul of local alternativism.
“We are the pirates of today, a decentralised movement speaking and gathering to sustain minorities and empower, in an artistic way, the sense of human freedom we all share.”

After a short break we are very happy to start up the Space Impro series at Sexyland World again! A festive evening with some freshly brewed ensembles and music varying from experimental electronic/acoustic landscapes to intimate sounds and of course improvisation!
JACOB MASKELL-KEY / RAPHAEL VANOLI
Guitarist / bassist Raphael Vanoli and multi-disciplined musician Jacob Maskell-Key have been experimenting together over the past year on their respective geeky hybrid electronic setups, the outcome is a warbled mess of dissonant joy. With an album on the way, this will be their first ever live show as a duo!
Raphael Vanoli guitar, electronics | Jakob Maskell-Key drums / electronics
NOVELO VAGO
Novelo Vago is a contemporary music garage band: they write their own pieces, they barely rehearse them, and the main reason why they’re still playing together is because they’ve been friends for more than 10 years. The band makes music with toy instruments, small percussion instruments, instruments that officially don’t fall into the category of toys but definitely are toys (like the piccolo), and sex toys. Novelo Vago made its Amsterdam debut at the epic condom shop Condomerie in January 2023; and in May 2023 released “Live in Porto - a protest in the form of an album”.
Vera Morais - voice, toy instruments | Teresa Costa - flute, piccolo, toy instruments | Inês Lopes - toy piano, melodica, toy instruments
PONGA
PONGA sounds like anything is possible. Rooted in free improvisation, our music is a fusion of compositional form, infectious grooves, and uniquely crafted melodies. Through experimentation and free play, each member seamlessly transitions between percussive, melodic, and harmonic roles, resulting in an eclectic performance that embraces a multitude of musical styles—from soundscapes to rock, jazz to classical, and beyond. Clad in costumes that mirror the diversity of our sound, we juggle not only instruments but also identities, creating a visual spectacle that mirrors our commitment to progressive change. Formed by violist Yanna Pelser and former Kapok members Timon Koomen (guitars) and Remco Menting (drums/percussion), PONGA serves as a platform for each member to channel their rich musical backgrounds spanning jazz, classical, and free improvisation. With over 15 years of experience performing in the Dutch and international jazz and classical scenes, our collective expertise is enhanced by a shared immersion in theatre, shaping our unique stage presence and penchant for costume changes.

Nederlandstalige improvisatie komedieshow
Dit wordt weer lachen, huilen en zuipen! Proost!
@HSV_De_Honingbij
19:00 — Deuren open
19:30 — Start show
20:30 — Einde show
20:30 — Start Café Snol (meezingavond)
NL: (for English check below) De extra grappige editie van Café Snol!
ENG: Yes, fun, come see the ‘gezelligheid’, you will learn a lot. Perhaps too much or too little! But we have drinks and ‘augurken’. It’s an amazing evening! Everybody happy!
